Sailing the waters of the Caribbean is every sailor’s dream with its turquoise waters, idyllic islands of exuberant vegetation where the coconut trees seem to rest in the water.  The warm climate and the constant tradewind make it the perfect adventurous sailing destination.  The natural anchorages are amazing, offering refuge to past pirates, and rich in history, were base harbours for the English fleet, which dominated these waters 2 centuries ago.

Saint Lucia, a volcanic natural park, boasts thousands of orchids and birds of paradise.  Saint Vincent, with spectacular anchorages, was used by Captain Blight to create a botanical garden, his refuge,  upon his return from his unfortunate mutiny.

The Virgin Islands, with crystal turquoise waters and beautiful underwater caves which inspired “Treasure Island,” are probably one of the top diving spots.  Tortola, Saint John, Virgin Gorda, Saint Martin – all an incredible mix of cultures: French, English , Dutch, and Caribbean – where you can admire the volcanic peaks of dark green which contrast with the heavenly whiteness of its magnificient beaches.

Martinique, also know as the “Paris” of the Caribbean, offers an amazing culinary experience and culture as well as blissful landscapes.  Granada, the spice island, allows you to discover, with a mask and snorkel, its colorful and unique coral reef, an unforgettable show.

Cuba, with ever lasting beaches,  where you can sail to deserted places and still feel like Robinson Crusoe, away from the more touristic locations, is also well worth visiting.
