The towns that border the North Sea have a long sailing history, as the sea was their only trading link.  Today they are the European countries with most boats per inhabitants.  This is due to their magnificent natural environment and their perfectly apt marinas.

The countries which present the  most recommended coastlines for sporty sailing are Finland, Sweden, Denmark and The Netherlands.

The south of Finland enjoys a mild climate in a natural enclave of rich vegetation amidst the impressive cliffs and rocks of the Baltic Sea.

The Swedish coastline, with more than 24.000 islands, lakes and an abundant wildlife is the paradigm of the Nordic countries.

Stockholm, its capital,  called the Venice of the north, and to arrive there by the sea will leave an unforgettable memory.  Its history, museums, architecture and rich cuisine are worth a stopover.

The Netherlands will surprise us with its landscape of windmills and natural canals.
